Leadership Lens Thought-Oriented Leadership — Leaders Who Rely Less on This Style
Target learners
Physician leaders and healthcare administrators whose Hogan Leader Focus results suggest that they rely less on the Thought-Oriented Leadership style.
Course purpose
- Help participants understand what it means to rely less on the Thought-Oriented Leadership style in healthcare settings, and to recognize the strengths that come with this way of leading.
- Support them in leveraging their natural emphasis on stability, realism, pragmatism, and disciplined judgment while selectively flexing into more thought-oriented behaviors when situations call for it.
- Help them reduce the risk of the predictable tradeoffs associated with this style pattern by choosing and testing concrete behavioral strategies, and documenting outcomes for CME purposes and for their individualized leadership Development Plan.
